Three weeks left!!

This first year of college has definitely been a learning experience, not only scholastically but also in life lessons. The year started quite peachy. I was free and had easy classes with very little homework which allowed for me to enjoy the fun things in college. There have been many movies watch, nights slept on Kim's couch, laughs shared, and activities accomplished. In the Fall we went hiking, and rode bikes everywhere then in the Winter we went sledding at Happyjack and went to the hot springs in Saratoga. I was able to go home for Christmas break which was very enjoyable and relaxing. Soon after break second semester started and with it came mounds of homework, a beater car, and a job. Needless to say I have learned many more life lessons this semester than the previous. From my car I have learned responsibility, independence, and that insurance is good to have. My job has taught me patience and the worth souls as I have been a bus aide for the local school district. With this semester came a heap of stress that I have had to learn to cope with. I have also experienced the disappointment of not always getting things right the first time. However, through it all I have gained lasting friendship and a greater testimony of God's plan for his children. Even though I don't always know why things are happening to me I know that one person does. I feel blessed to have this experience of college and I look forward to the years ahead. Thank you to all who have helped me in this new adventure down this new road of life. :)

Our Epic drive home

As Kim, Tyler and I left beautiful Afton we started out on what would become an epic journey. First we stopped at the local dinosaurs located just outside Cokeville where Kim and Tyler attempted to tame the wild beasts. Afterwards we stopped at some railroad tracks and looked around at the abandoned cars. Tyler climbed on top of one and then we were priviledged to see a actual moving train!! How cool was that! Then we were off to Fossil Butte to see what real fossils look like. We also learned that distant viewing doesn't mean two inches. :) After Fossil Butte, we went to Rock Springs and toured the local Walmart where we had lots of fun with different objects and scenarios. All in all we had an awesome trip!

Life's little Miracles

These past two weeks I have seen God's hand in my life many times. I was involved in two accidents the week of the 14th and there were no injuries, my finances have all worked out and I am still have to drive my car. When I first came upon these trials I was mad at God for making my life so miserable and by and by as the days have come and gone I have come to see the many things that have come from it. I have learned patience, independence and responsibility for my actions. I also learned that life really isn't as bad as I think, I still have friends and a family that love me. This has been quite the learning experience and I hope that I will carry the lessons from it for the rest of my life.
